An aluminum extrusion plant is looking for a staff metallurgist.
Description:
This role will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining our metallurgical practices and quality systems. It will assist with identifying gaps in process practices and quality systems at each facility and then work with corporate resources and local leadership to address. It will also make recommendations to the VP of Technical Services regarding needs of the organization in order to continue to improve.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in materials science/engineering
- 3-5 years of experience

• Must be a team player, also capable of working with minimal supervision when required.
• Aluminum casting knowledge – Alloys, hardeners, motlen metal treatment
• Knowledge of Chemical Analysis by spectrometer.
• Ability to understand and interpret customer standards and specifications
• Experience in Quality Systems and Procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of IATF and ISO requirements and documentation
• Capable of writing and following ISO and IATF Procedures.
• Experience performing internal audits
• Familiar with Statistical Process Control Techniques.
