Overview
Job Purpose: A maintenance technician is assigned tasks and follows them in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures manual. He or She is required to complete all daily, weekly and months scheduled preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner including proper documentation. This position requires a person to be organized, efficient, and capable of completing all tasks in the maintenance department

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections on equipment and facility
  • Complete repairs on equipment in a timely manner (electrical and mechanical)
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals
  • Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks including documentation
  • Work neat, clean, and organized
  • Able to research parts needed for equipment or facilities
  • Notify management of items that need repaired
  • Follow company employee and safety policies

Qualifications / Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in an industrial or food manufacturing facility
  • Electrical experience including single phase and three phase power up to 460V
  • Mechanical experience
  • Welding a plus
  • Refrigeration and Ammonia experience including RETA certification a plus
  • Facility experience including plumbing, painting and grounds up keep
  • Pass a written and driving exam of forklifts
  • Able to read and interpret equipment manuals
  • Able to work various shifts in a high speed production facility
