The Plant Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of manufacturing equipment, production processes, utilities, and facility systems within a heavy industrial forging environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, efficient, reliable, and high-quality production operations that support thew company’s operational and customer requirements.
The position requires a highly hands-on engineering professional with strong project planning and project management capabilities who can successfully manage multiple capital and operational improvement projects utilizing both internal maintenance personnel and external contractors. The position partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Metallurgy, and Production teams to improve manufacturing performance, reduce operational risk, support equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
This role requires regular presence on the manufacturing floor and a practical understanding of heavy industrial processes including forging, heat treat, machining, material handling, utilities, and facility infrastructure systems.
