United Employment Group is seeking a Production Supervisor in Arizona.

Description:

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing plant production. This position is responsible for training and developing employee skills to produce a safe, comfortable, efficient workplace to produce quality product; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversees all plant functions.
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment.
  • Monitors plant expenses, efficiencies, product losses, and ensures that these are kept within budget.
  • Monitors quality of all materials and finished goods.
  • Checks equipment for proper function and operation
  • Track and post production daily.
  • Populate analytical reports for plant management daily.
  • Schedules plant maintenance.
  • Assigns work to production employees.
  • Responsible for training and/or cross-training employees within the department.
  • Participates in talent selection and hiring
  • Participates in disciplinary actions of employees as needed.
  • Responsible for monitoring and approving employee actions in EC (HRIS) in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for running time data audit report of recorded time and errors and track attendance Responsible for coordinating plant employee schedules with the HR/Payroll Coordinator.
  • Assist in plant inventories.
  • Attends and/or leads safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
  • Regular attendance is required.

 

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required, college level courses a plus.
  • Two years’ experience in the concrete block, sack industry or manufacturing industry with supervisory experience, a plus.
  • Working knowledge production and associated products is required.
  • Training and experience are interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must have strong communication, teamwork, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate front-loader, forklift, and any other equipment required to perform duties.
  • Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
  • Regular attendance is required.

 

Physical Demands:
  • Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, reaching with hands and arms.
  • Lifting up-to 100 pounds infrequently
  • Lift up to 50 pounds regularly

 

Work Environment:
  • Plant environment with moderate to loud noise, exposure to dust, work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions.
  • Extreme temperatures.
  • Wear mandatory and/or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
