Seeking a field service professional with a background in mechanical/hydraulic maintenance!


We are looking for highly motivated, energetic and positive individuals with industrial machinery installation & repair experience to fill the role of Mechanical Service Technician. These individuals will travel to customer sites throughout North America to assist in the installation and maintenance of concrete products machinery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Mechanical installation of machinery, including precise locating and setting of machinery according to detailed CAD drawings.
  • Assist customers in machinery rebuilds, including hydraulic systems.
  • Assist customers in the installation of machine retrofits and upgrades.
  • Instruct customers on routine preventative maintenance and annual rebuild procedures.
  • In-plant customer support and troubleshooting.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Highly proficient in reading mechanical dimensioned drawings, hydraulic circuit drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Understanding of how hydraulic systems work, ability to troubleshoot hydraulic issues and
  • ability to rebuild hydraulic pumps and cylinders required.
  • Experience in the concrete products industry, with some knowledge of concrete batching & mixing technology, electric-hydraulic machinery, packaging systems etc. preferred.
  • Ability to read and speak German and Spanish a strong benefit, but not required.
  • General familiarity with PLC control systems and comfort navigating HMI screens for machine parameter setups and troubleshooting required.
  • Team player who is flexible, organized and customer focused.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, with respect and empathy.
  • A valid Passport, Driver’s License and clean Driving record are essential.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively throughout North America as required based on requests for maintenance or service by customers (up to 75% travel). All travel related expenses are paid.

Education and / or Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a mechanic working on machinery in an industrial setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous work history in the manufactured concrete products industry desired, but not required
  • Any technical or mechanical type trade school certificates will be favorably considered

Job Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Job responsibilities often require walking and working in industrial settings. Working environment may include noise, fumes, dust and various weather and temperature conditions.
  • Frequent air travel within the United States, Canada and Germany will be required for this position and may include occasional travel to Mexico, the Caribbean and Central American countries.
