Currently looking for a mechanical engineer to join our team contributing on a wide range of custom engineered products.
Description:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Work experience in refrigeration and/ or heat transfer systems
- 5 to 7 years of work experience
- Thorough understanding of refrigeration cycle, ability to analyze load requirements, select and specify system components
- Thorough understanding of industrial control systems and designs including PLC's. Knowledge of industrial power wiring, circuitry, and design requirements.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley component series and RS-Logix PLC platforms
- Knowledge and understanding of 2D/3D modeling, particularly Inventor and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of MRP systems, particularly Shoptech E2
- Detailed knowledge of applicable codes to chillers and heat transfer systems, including, but not limited to, ASHRAE, NFPA, ASME, NEC, UL508, CEC
- Experience with industrial fabrication, including design of package systems
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide product, application, pricing, and sales support as needed
- Identify customer needs - Design system to meet customer needs, price, and delivery
- Generate P&ID's, bills of material, and electrical schematics
- Order entry and materials release for projects using Shoptech E2
- Write PLC functional requirement specifications and perform PLC logic testing
- Work with designers to provide 3D drawings and review 2D fabrication drawings
- Provide project management support
- Support equipment testing and documentation
- Provide customers and field service technicians with technical support
- Travel to customer sites for sales and service support when appropriate
COMPENSATION:
- Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications $90K - 110K
