United Employment Group is seeking a Concrete Block Plant Manager in Tulsa, OK.

Concrete Block Plant Manager Description:
  • Provide direct guidance and coaching to concrete block plant personnel
  • Assess concrete block plant staff skill set and address essential training needs to promote retention
  • Conduct performance reviews for direct reports and advise on year end performance reviews for all personnel.
  • Make critical hiring and firing decisions
  • Make critical decisions relative to concrete block production schedules, orders, invoicing and pricing
  • Manage annual concrete block plant expenses / P&L to meet / exceed annual plan
  • Contribute to annual budgeting / planning process
  • Manage locations month end close processes
  • Work with concrete block production staff to optimize process, meet production targets, and grow plant capacity
  • Compile monthly operations data and prepare monthly reports for Sr. Management
  • Coordinate with sales to address inventory volumes and production planning to meet regional demands
  • Maintain accurate control over total plant inventory
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

 

Concrete Block Plant Manager Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering or similar technical trade preferred
  • High school diploma with 10+ years of Plant/Business leadership equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years’ experience in concrete block manufacturing; Besser machinery expertise preferred
  • Excellent block plant maintenance knowledge and skill sets.  Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and improve processes
  • Knowledge and experience implementing lean strategies
  • Willingness to be hands on in the plant.  This position requires a 80/20 balance of plant floor time.

  • Manage locations month end close processes
  • Requires good reading, writing, mathematical skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Regular attendance is required.
