A well-established manufacturer of concrete pavers, retaining wall systems, and hardscape products is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations at one of its production facilities. This is a hands-on leadership role with full accountability for safety, quality, throughput, and cost — reporting directly to senior operations leadership.
The company has a strong market presence across the northeastern U.S. and a customer base that expects consistent, high-quality product. The Plant Manager will be expected to drive performance, develop the team on the floor, and maintain a facility that runs with discipline and pride.
What You’ll Own
Background We’re Looking For
Concrete paver manufacturing experience is required. Candidates must have hands-on familiarity with paver production — the equipment, the process, and the quality standards that come with it. Experience with retaining wall systems, block, or broader hardscape manufacturing is a plus, but paver plant operations are the baseline for this search.
Experience running Tiger machine lines is preferred. Candidates who know Tiger equipment — how it runs, how it breaks, and how to get the most out of it — will have a distinct advantage in this process.
- Full plant operations: production scheduling, equipment uptime, output targets, and cost management
- Safety program leadership — driving a zero-incident culture through accountability, not just training compliance
- Quality control for all finished goods, with ownership of defect rates and customer return metrics
- Direct supervision of shift supervisors, maintenance leads, and department heads
- Workforce planning, hiring decisions, performance management, and team development
- Capital project scoping and execution in coordination with engineering and senior leadership
- Tracking and reporting on KPIs: OEE, labor efficiency, waste, downtime, and cost per unit
- Coordination with sales and logistics on order fulfillment and inventory management
- 7+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, with at least 3 in a plant management or equivalent leadership role
- Demonstrated success managing a production team of 30 or more employees across multiple shifts
- Solid background in lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies
- P&L exposure or budget accountability at the plant level
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and working closely with maintenance teams to reduce unplanned downtime
