Position Summary:
The Plant Manager oversees all daily operations of the precast concrete manufacturing facility to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability. This role is responsible for production planning, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Direct and coordinate all plant operations, including batching, casting, curing, finishing, storage, and shipping of precast concrete products.

Production Management: Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing labor and material efficiency.

Quality Control: Ensure all products meet or exceed project specifications, PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute) standards, and company quality requirements.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce plant safety procedures and promote a culture of safety in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.

Personnel Management: Supervise, train, and evaluate plant staff; foster teamwork and accountability among supervisors and production teams.

Maintenance & Equipment: Oversee preventive maintenance programs for all production and material-handling equipment to minimize downtime.

Inventory & Materials: Manage raw materials, molds, and finished product inventory to support efficient production flow.

Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Manufacturing and process improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase throughput.

Budgeting & Reporting: Manage plant operating budget, control costs, and report on KPIs including safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5–10 years of experience in precast, concrete, or heavy manufacturing operations.

Proven leadership experience managing production teams in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Strong understanding of concrete mix designs, formwork systems, and curing processes.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of PCI standards and certification requirements preferred.
Physical & Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed in a plant environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.

Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
