Overview The Mechanical Designer/Mechanical Engineer is responsible for developing, designing, and improving components and systems used in concrete batch plant equipment. This role focuses on creating accurate 3D models and detailed technical drawings, supporting production, and solving design challenges to ensure efficient, high-quality manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Design parts, assemblies, and weldments using SolidWorks
- Produce fabrication-ready drawings and maintain revision control within SolidWorks PDM
- Maintain proper file structure within SolidWorks PDM
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams
- Troubleshoot design issues and optimize for manufacturability
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles
- Ability to interpret and create detailed technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
