Responsibilities
Plan and oversee daily maintenance activities across all shifts, including preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs. Repair, install, and dismantle machinery and equipment — work includes heights, ladders, and mobile equipment (cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts). Lead maintenance teams and outside vendors through plant shutdowns and equipment installations.
Train multi-craft maintenance technicians to ensure each team member has the skills to perform their role effectively. Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes. Lead breakdown response and troubleshooting; prioritize critical repairs to keep downtime to a minimum.
Connect to PLCs and VFDs via laptop software to identify faults, monitor I/O, and support production troubleshooting. Support welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed. Identify and source electrical component upgrades (VFDs, I/O cards, PLCs) and maintain proper spare parts inventory. Read and trace wiring diagrams including IOs, OLs, contactors, relays, brake resistors, and related components.
Manage outside contractors, vendors, and service providers performing onsite work. Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance procedures within the work order system.
