Summary

UEG is seeking a Foundry Quality Manager/Metallurgist in the Midwest. This role leads the quality department and metallurgical control for a foundry operation, covering customer requirements, lab testing and defect reduction to improve scrap rates and first-pass yield.

Requirements

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or a related technical field

✅ 5+ years of quality and/or metallurgy experience in a foundry

✅ Strong knowledge of iron metallurgy, chemistry control and microstructure

✅ Experience with customer quality requirements, PPAP, corrective actions and audits

✅ Ability to lead casting defect analysis using root cause tools and scrap data

✅ Experience leading a quality team or lab staff

Preferred

✅ Gray and ductile iron experience

✅ ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 experience

Salary: $100K – $120K
