Summary

UEG is seeking a Foundry Process Engineer in the Mid-Atlantic. This role designs pattern rigging, runs solidification simulations and builds shop travelers to produce quality castings efficiently, from the foundry through cleanup, upgrade and machining.

Requirements

✅ Degree in Materials, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred, but relevant experience is considered)

✅ 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, ideally in a foundry or metals setting

✅ Ability to read casting blueprints and design pattern rigging using shrink factors and feeding moduli

✅ Experience with casting defect analysis and corrective actions

Preferred

✅ SolidWorks, laser scanning and solidification simulation experience

✅ Background with ferrous and non-ferrous machining and casting upgrade processes
