Role Summary:
The Fiber Sales Specialist is responsible for driving regional sales, specifications, and market growth of fiber reinforcement solutions used in concrete and cementitious applications throughout Illinois and Indiana. Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development- Execute a regional sales strategy focused on growing fiber reinforcement adoption across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure markets.
- Proactively develop relationships with contractors, producers, engineers, and key decision-makers.
- Drive project specifications and promote fiber as an alternative to traditional reinforcement methods.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and project tracking to close and follow-up.
- Identify competitive activity, market gaps, and new growth opportunities within the territory.
Technical Support & Application Guidance
- Provide technical consultation on fiber selection, performance characteristics, and application methods.
- Assist customers with dosage recommendations, mix design coordination, and slab-on-ground reinforcement approaches.
- Support fiber substitution strategies aligned with recognized industry methodologies and testing practices.
- Deliver jobsite support, contractor education, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Conduct technical presentations and training sessions for customers and industry partners.
Market Development & Industry Engagement
- Collaborate internally to support pricing strategies, promotional efforts, and regional initiatives.
- Support product launches and promotional campaigns within the territory.
- Participate in industry events, local associations, and technical forums to strengthen market presence.
- Monitor regional standards, infrastructure activity, and regulatory trends influencing fiber reinforcement usage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Materials Science, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in concrete materials, reinforcement systems, admixtures, or related construction products.
- Strong understanding of concrete behavior, mix design fundamentals, and reinforcement applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical sales with measurable revenue growth.
- Willingness to travel locally (approximately 25–35%) for customer meetings, jobsite visits, and industry events.
