Overview We are seeking a remote Design Engineer with direct, hands-on experience designing concrete batch plant equipment. This role is responsible for creating accurate engineering models, detailed drawings, and technical documentation while collaborating with internal engineering and production teams to deliver high-quality equipment solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop components, assemblies, and systems for concrete batch plant equipment
- Create accurate 3D models and detailed fabrication-ready drawings
- Produce and maintain engineering documentation and revision control
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure design intent is met
- Troubleshoot design challenges and optimize designs for manufacturability
- Support continuous improvement and new product development initiatives
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience designing concrete batch plant equipment required
- Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or comparable 3D modeling software
- Ability to interpret and create detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with light travel
Preferred
- Engineering degree strongly preferred
- Experience with heavy industrial equipment, structural steel, or material handling systems
- Familiarity with batch plant components including silos, conveyors, and mixing systems
- Experience with PDM or PLM file management systems
