Position Summary
The Business Operations Manager leads program execution for a growing business unit producing aluminum thermal management assemblies in Michigan. This role coordinates engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and commercial teams and drives the transition from prototype builds to structured, repeatable low volume production.
Responsibilities
Program Execution
- Own overall program execution, including schedules, priorities, and deliverables for assemblies
- Coordinate cross functional activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams
- Translate customer forecasts and requirements into actionable build plans and production schedules
- Track key program metrics, including on time delivery, build efficiency, and rework
Production & Supply Coordination
- Coordinate production activities across assembly, testing, and outsourced operations
- Track WIP, throughput, and build status to ensure on time delivery
- Monitor availability of key outsourced components and escalate supply risks
- Support the transition of key processes, such as tube bending, from outsourced to in house
- Coordinate logistics, material flow, and shipment readiness to meet customer commitments
Process & Quality Discipline
- Ensure adherence to defined processes, work instructions, and documentation requirements
- Coordinate issue tracking and resolution with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality
- Support implementation of production planning, traceability, and change management practices
- Follow and support 5S and safety programs
Qualifications
Required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in process, project, or manufacturing engineering, or a related technical role in a manufacturing or operations environment
- Experience in cross functional environments supporting product development and production
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, evolving environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Experience with thermal systems or heat transfer
