Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead growth initiatives in the industrial refrigeration market. The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, foster strong client relationships, and collaborate with cross functional teams to drive sales of refrigeration systems and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Development
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in target markets including cold storage, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, and logistics.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic planning.
- Sales Growth
- Develop and execute regional sales plans to meet revenue goals.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, and participation in trade shows and industry events.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing contracts.
- Client Management
- Build and maintain long term relationships with key decisionmakers, consultants, and contractors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients.
- Understand customer needs and offer tailored industrial refrigeration solutions.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure solution alignment and customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback on market trends and customer requirements to support product development.
- Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasts, and key metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial refrigeration or HVAC related sales/business development.
- Strong technical understanding of ammonia and CO2based refrigeration systems.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales and strategic account development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel regionally (up to 50%).
Preferred Experience
- Experience with regulatory standards such as IIAR, ASHRAE, or EPA.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems and automation in refrigeration.
- Background in project-based solution selling.
