Summary

UEG is seeking a Foundry Process Engineer in the Southeast. This role owns the casting process from mold preheat through solidification. It covers furnace thermal profiles and process controls, metallurgical quality, defect elimination and yield improvements on high-performance castings.

Requirements

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field

✅ 3+ years of engineering experience in a vacuum casting foundry

✅ Strong understanding of physical metallurgy and solidification

✅ Hands-on experience with high-temperature vacuum furnaces, induction heating and PLC controls

✅ Experience with microstructure analysis and NDT inspection data

Preferred

✅ Investment casting experience

✅ Minitab and casting simulation software experience

Salary: $100K+
