Schedule and execute maintenance; to achieve company goals and meet customer needs based on available material, equipment, and manpower. Responsible for safety of employees under supervision. Work well with others, detail oriented, accept additional responsibility, use good judgement when making decisions, multi-task, organize and plan work by priority. Is reliable and motivated. Has strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Maintain a positive attitude.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned:
- Hire and schedule outside contractors
- Schedule jobs and projects for maintenance techs
- Write, modify, and schedule preventive maintenance
- Monitor E-Maintenance activities and work orders
- Plan projects
- Order replacement machinery and parts
- Identify worn machinery and advise replacement
- Communicate clearly via email, on the phone and in person
- Ensure all repairs and work orders are completed in a timely manner
- Effectively maintain inventory levels of parts to control downtime
- Conduct department meetings
- Ensure time keeping and absentee data is properly recorded for assigned crews
- Promote and implement continuous improvement
- Comply with and enforce all safety policies, practices and procedures.
- Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety Department, as well as assess immediate corrective actions.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise 5-10 employees.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Train, plan, assign, and direct work.
- Appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or (GED); or minimum one year related experience working in a maintenance department; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management, other employees, suppliers and customers
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills:
- Ability to perform routine computer operations specific to in-house software programs
