We are looking for a sales professional to cover the Midwest/Northeast territories, selling equipment to ready-mix concrete producers. The ideal candidate comes from inside the ready-mix industry — someone who has worked at a producer, understands how plants operate, and has existing relationships with plant managers and decision-makers across the region. This is a remote role with approximately 50% travel throughout the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities with ready-mix concrete producers across the territoy
- Promote and sell heating and cooling equipment for concrete batch plants, including water chillers, hot water systems, aggregate heating, and glycol systems
- Leverage existing industry relationships to open doors and build a strong pipeline
- Conduct site visits to evaluate customer needs and recommend tailored solutions
- Prepare and present technical proposals, quotes, and product demonstrations
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed targets
- Coordinate with engineering, installation, and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Attend trade shows and industry events to generate leads and build brand presence
What We’re Looking For
- Background working at or closely with ready-mix concrete producers — you understand how plants run and what operators care about
- Established relationships with producers throughout the Midwest
- Familiarity with heating and cooling equipment used in concrete production (chillers, boilers, aggregate heating systems)
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience in industrial equipment, concrete, or a related field
- Strong technical aptitude — comfortable explaining equipment to both technical and non-technical buyers
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a large territory
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time throughout the Midwest
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Experience working directly in batch plant or concrete production environments
