Job Purpose:
The Applications Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, validation, function, and manufacturing of products during the development phase and in production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creation of and execution of the DV Test Plan and Reports.
- Provide design direction to the CAD team based on the application and customer input.
- DFMEA creation.
- To perform root cause analysis and generate reports on customer returned parts.
- Be available to travel to local customers when needed to assist in design collaboration, part evaluation, assembly trials, part pick-up and delivery, etc.
- Assist in the creation of technical presentations.
- Act as back-up to Engineering Manager providing instruction to all company personnel with regards to product functions and capability.
- Effectively perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary and appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree with physics and chemistry requirements.
- Ability to read drawings and apply the principles of GD&T
- The ability to interpret and explain FEA results
- Project Management Experience
- Ability to work in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and database software
