Duties and Responsibilities:
- Combustion System Management:

- Design, develop, and optimize kiln combustion systems, including burners, fuel delivery, and air supply, to meet specific firing requirements and minimize energy consumption.

- Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to predict kiln behavior and optimize performance.

- Implement and maintain control strategies for combustion systems, ensuring precise temperature and atmospheric control.
- Process Monitoring and Analysis:

- Monitor and analyze kiln operation, such as temperature, pressure, and gas composition, to identify trends, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions.

- Conduct root cause analysis for kiln-related issues and develop solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.

- Utilize tools and methodologies, such as Lean/Six Sigma, to analyze and improve kiln operational efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and Support:

- Provide technical expertise and support to production and maintenance teams to resolve kiln-related issues and minimize downtime.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to combustion equipment, refractory materials, and kiln components.
- Research and Development:

- Stay updated with advancements in combustion technology, alternative fuels, and energy-efficient kiln designs.

- Participate in or lead research and development projects to explore and implement innovative solutions for kiln combustion systems.
- Collaboration and Documentation:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, etc., to ensure effective kiln operations.

- Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports, documentation, and operational procedures related to kiln combustion systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in kiln operations, combustion systems, and thermal process engineering.
- Knowledge of ceramic materials and firing processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
- Familiarity with process control systems and instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with advanced combustion technologies.
