United Employment Group is looking for a Quality Manager at a forging plant in MA.

Primary Responsibilities​:

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality system of the facility to ensure that processes and parts meet both regulatory and customer standards. This position provides manufacturing with technical support, quality expertise, formal training, communication, and ensures the utmost attention and compliance to customer outputs (specifications), process inputs (internal process specifications) operating standards, manufacturing initiatives (continuous improvement) and safety/environmental requirements. Specifically, the QA Manager will:

  • Formulate goals, objectives, and plans in line with strategic objectives and customer needs while ensuring compliance to all industry standards
  • Supporting customer visits, audits and requests
  • Oversee the Quality Management system
  • Conduct internal and external audits and inspections for compliance to AS9100 / ISO9001 standards
  • Maintain receiving, in-processing and shipping program to ensure product quality standards are met and verified
  • Determination of inspection methods required to meet customer and internal specifications
  • Programming and operating CMM (PCDIMS)
  • Apply leadership skills to lead, motivate and train personnel
  • Work closely with production and engineering
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering field or equivalent work experience is required
  • Five years of quality systems management or quality personnel leadership experience, preferably in a machine shop environment (experience with tubular products highly desired)
  • Experience with measuring equipment and calibration including CMM programming and operation (PCDIMS)
  • Sound understanding of GD&T
  • Ability to understand and develop First Article Inspection (FAI) plans (AS9102), in-process first piece and final inspections
  • Familiarity with defense, aerospace and nuclear product applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High degree of problem solving capability
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office Software Suite particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing practices and continuous improvement concepts desired
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced dynamic environment
