Quality Engineer (AS9100) position with a West Coast Aerospace Forger.

Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Review customer purchase orders and associated documents for technical requirements.
 Write and update inspection procedures, work instructions and checklists, as applicable.
 Participate in definition of test requirements, justification of acceptance limits and sampling plans to assure compliance with requirements.
 Provide direction in implementing inspection activities (e.g., receiving, first article, in-process, and final inspection).
 Address nonconformities (process and product).
 Investigate problems, determine root cause(s), gather and analyze data, and implement corrective action(s) to eliminate causes and their recurrence.
 Use charts and statistics to analyze results and prepare reports to present findings.
 Coordinate changes to fixed processes internally and obtain customer approval, as applicable.
 Ensure that rework is performed to product according to drawing or customer requirements.
 Review raw material and outside process certificates to ensure conformance to applicable purchase order specifications.
 Review shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
 Review and approve certificates of conformance.
 Perform other duties as may be requested by the Department Head and/or top management.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing, preferred.
 Some college coursework from an accredited institution is desirable.
 Two to five (2-5) years of experience in a related field of expertise preferably in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry.
