Commercial Concrete Contractor Seeks Project Manager

Description:

Our client is a successful and growing turnkey concrete contractor performing construction primarily in the Southeastern United States, is seeking an experienced Project Manager immediately for a large resort project in Florida.

The ideal candidates should possess the following:

QUALIFICATIONS
1.Degree or Diploma in Architectural Sciences, Civil Engineering or Project/Construction Management or 10+ years in construction field experience
2.Proficient in MS Project and/or Primavera and the MS Office Suite of products
3.Knowledge of the building development/redevelopment industry
4.Familiarity with construction methods and the building codes
5.5+ years of relevant work experience in large concrete construction
6.Extensive knowledge of concrete practices, formwork systems, means and methods
7.Knowledge of project safety and OSHA standards
8.Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
9.Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
10.Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
11.Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
2.Draft and issuance of change orders, project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules
3.Prepare project communications
4.Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades
5.Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures
6.Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
7.Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner
8.Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
9.Issue Contracts, Letters of Intent, Purchase Orders, etc.
10.Maintain Contract Execution Tracking Log
11.Assist in review Contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval
12.Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database
13.Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained
14.Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others
15.Keep the executive management informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
