The Precast Plant Manager is responsible for the leadership of Company's precast plant inclusive of production, shipping/receiving, quality, safety, maintenance, and facilities.


Job Summary

The Precast Plant Manager is responsible for the leadership of Company's precast plant inclusive of production, shipping/receiving, quality, safety, maintenance, and facilities.


Assignment of tasks and follow up with clear methods

Schedule and hold weekly 1:1 meetings with all direct reports

Workload balancing within the plant

Employee motivation

Employee performance review and management

Employee training and development plan for advancement

Development of succession plan

Develop and maintain action plans.

Lead daily stand up meetings and quarterly employee meetings

Plant Document Control Method (per SOP's)

Standard requirements for production equipment

Plant Capacity Plan

Direct Labor Forecast

Plant Layout

Plant 5S Program

Plant Control/Review/Check/Approve

Production and forming concepts and designs

Shop production drawings

Purchase Orders / Requisitions

Casting and finishing / Approval

Bills of Material

Project timelines and schedule

Process Controls Plans

Process Changes

Team work instructions and Version SOP's

Root cause corrections issued to team leaders

Plant layout

Hazardous Material Request Forms

"Right to Know Program" - MSDS binders, etc.

Continuous Improvement (CI)

Develop and accomplish CI plan improvements on time

Develop and accomplish CI plan improvements to budge

Maintain department "Key Performance Indicators"

Maintain Legal / Company Compliance

NPCA Certification

Maintain compliance to all State and Federal regulations

OSHA/Electrical Code (production and equipment)

EPA - Federal, State, Local (including reporting and auditing)

Storm Water Plan

Air Permit

Hazardous Waste

Development and approval of applicable SOP's

Enforcing compliance to all SOP's

Development and maintenance of internal audit plan

Ensure that all internal audits and effective and completed

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 50 pounds (occasionally).

Must be able to stand for extended period of time.

Must be able to squat, crawl and kneel to complete tasks.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The work areas are not climate controlled. Ambient temperatures and humidity will generally be the same as outdoor temperatures. In the summer, temperatures and humidity can be greater than the ambient temperature. In winter, they can be lower

Some work will be done in direct sunlight outdoors.

Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be very high.

Qualifications and Skills

An Associates degree and/or equivalent experience

The ability to operate a computer, common software, and communication devices

The ability to demonstrate a high level of plant process improvement knowledge

The ability to communicate at a high level, both receiving and disseminating information for clear understanding

The ability to understand broad direction and then formulate and execute detailed complex plans to meet that direction

The ability to make complex judgments in the interest of the company and employees

Can demonstrate and be considered a leader in company values
