Commercial Concrete Contractor Seeks Place & Finish Superintendent

Description:

Qualifications
1. Must have at least 15 years of experience supervising crews that pour flat floors
2. Pour and supervise crews to be able to meet strict finishing tolerances of up to FF/FL of 80
3. Be very familiar with riding trowel machines and the techniques/methods of finishing a flat floor
4. Control mixer trucks, pace, and correct concrete quantities
5. Be able to organize a pour including all the equipment and manpower
6. Can read and interpret the plans
7. Ensuring the safety of crew members by following OSHA and safety guidelines
8. Ensure the Productivity of crew members
9. As a key participant in the relationship with the contractors, and our client, the place and finish
superintendent must maintain a professional appearance.
10. Organize and delegate work.
11. Turn in tickets, do paperwork

Responsibilities
1. Ensure quality control of all concrete being poured
2. Planning and scheduling finisher, laborers, and finishing equipment
3. Supervise pouring crew
4. Ensuring the safety of crew members by following OSHA and safety guidelines
5. Ensure the Productivity of crew members
6. As a key participant in the relationship with the contractors, and our client, the place and finish
superintendent must maintain a professional appearance
7. Organize and delegate work
8. Turn in all material tickets and do daily reports

Leadership and Supervision
1. Communicating the job and assigning crew tasks
2. Maintaining work standards and outlining behavioral expectations to ensure crew morale and
productivity
3. Applying the principles of workplace respect on site
4. Ensuring crew compliance with project policies and procedures
5. Ensuring crew compliance with company policies and procedures
6. Recognizing, addressing and resolving issues/problems among/between crew members
7. Promoting, supporting and facilitating teamwork and harmony between all crew members by
promoting and fostering a positive, visible teamwork attitude among all crew members
8. Ability to coach, mentor, motivate, and teach crew members
9. Apply good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
10. Can be a role model and lead by example
11. Is honest and acts with integrity
12. Takes responsibility

Education/Experience:
• 4 years college education, not required but beneficial
• Minimum 10 years of experience in concrete construction - MUST HAVE COMMERCIAL CONCRETE EXPERIENCE
