Maintenance Technician  (#9141) - FL
Industry: Aluminum

An aluminum extrusion facility is looking for a maintenance technician.

Description:

Reports directly to the maintenance shift supervisor.  Night shift 7pm-7am, 3 on, 2 off, 3 off, 2 on schedule. 

Requirements:

Ability to function and participate as a team member
• Breaker and fuse understanding including selection for application
• Installing and aligning couplings
• Setup and replacing of motors, pneumatic systems, proxes, limit switches, power supplies
• Intermediate understanding of drives and PLC’s including following ladder for troubleshooting purposes
• Visually inspect and test equipment to determine functionality issues
• Repair or install components to correct functionality issues
• Perform daily work with minimal Supervision
• Capability to be mentored by other team members and Supervisors
• Adaptable to change
• Ability to prioritize needs
• Mechanical Reasoning and Problem Solving Skills
• Repair/replace bearings, sprockets, bushings, motors, chains, conveyors, and gearboxes
• Understanding of Temperature controllers and Thermocouples
• Understanding and correcting motor overload conditions
• Assist with Equipment installation and commissioning
• Repair/replace broken cables as deemed needed
• Repair/replace pumps, cylinders, gearboxes, motors, valves
• Follow prints to effectively troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic/mechanical systems

Technical Knowledge Required:

Mobile Equipment Certification required (or the ability to attain this certification through Sapa training as per the Mobile Equipment Policy); 
• DMM usage including fuse and motor checks
• Amp Probe
