Expected to be the primary “hunter” for industrial refrigeration projects nationwide to the food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries.


Title:  Industrial Refrigeration Business Development Manager
Expected to be the primary “hunter” for industrial refrigeration projects nationwide to the food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
o Expected to close at least 3 to 5 $2m-$5m industrial refrigeration projects per year.
o Expected to find and develop “national accounts” that bring repeat project opportunities per year
o Expected to support estimators and service sales in account managing existing customer base.
- Manage all business development for industrial refrigeration projects to include:
o Manage 3-5 industrial refrigeration estimators located in separate offices
 Includes: Deciding which projects to estimate, Improving measured close ratios, time allotment of each estimate, etc.
o Review estimates and be ultimately responsible for accuracy of all industrial refrigeration estimates
o Support estimators in their designs of industrial refrigeration solutions
o Support the operations team with the development of the project plan to final engineer and execute the installation of the scope sold to the customer.
 Note:  Would not be project managing, or in charge of field operations.
- Meet with existing/new customers to discuss project design needs
- Provide pricing on existing equipment change-outs and new installs
- Review RFP and qualify opportunities
- Accurate estimating, including labor hours and material
- Create optimal solution for the customer
- Work with engineering group to finalize design
- Gather pricing from vendors
- Create detailed proposal explaining scope and job details
- Present solution to customer
- Prospect new opportunities
- Work with service sales team
- Build relationships with customer base
- Call on corporate accounts – Develop relationships
- Review and understand P&IDs
- Follow IIAR standards
- Meet pipeline and sales goals
- Work with operations team to explain job scope and conduct detailed turnover
- Territory will include the Midwest, some regional travel will be required
- Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in engineering preferred
- Industrial refrigeration industry design experience
- Industrial refrigeration estimating experience
- Ammonia refrigeration experience
- Sales experience
- Full time availability
