Description:

The Field Operations Manager (FOM) will be responsible for the overall operations and profitability of this business unit. 

 

Summary of Position:

The Field Operations Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of this 25 person organization. Specific responsibilities will be to develop and implement a business plan to profitably grow the company. The FOM will be involved with estimating and pricing, personnel and equipment resource allocation, developing, hiring, training and quality plans for the organization, as well as some project specific duties to include site planning and troubleshooting. The FOM will assist project managers and project superintendents with interaction with the general contracting community. The FOM will have full P&L responsibility of this business unit and will utilize some administrative shared services of the parent company.

 

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Minimum of fifteen years of precast related field and installation experience
An executive with P/L responsibilities related to general contracting or precast erection services.
Experience in precast construction and the requirements of precast erection is highly sought after.  Structure types include Multilevel Parking structures, Architectural total precast systems, Architectural cladding, Hollow Core and Hollow Core total precast structures.
Experience with PCI MNL 116, PCI MNL 117, PCI 127, and PCI MNL 135 is a plus
General contracting experience with concrete division 34000 is a plus.
PCI Certification Level I, II, III is preferred
TCA Certification is a plus
Excellent planning, managerial and communication skills
Strategic planning, execution, hiring, organizational structure experience is required.
Understanding logistic, delivery scheduling of equipment and resources to effectively manage construction budgets
Tilt-up contracting experience, planning, estimating, execution is a plus.
Ability to interact with general contractors, engineers and internal project managers.
Demonstration of team building, coaching and mentoring strategies are required
Ability to travel periodically for project specific requirements or industry training functions
4 year degree in engineering or construction management is required
