Business Development Manager – Precast Products

Company is committed to continuing to build on its success as we look to hire a business development manager. This position is a great opportunity for a self-starter wanting looking be part of a growing organization that values reliability, quality and service.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Develop business relationships with the goal of selling an expanding line of precast products to Owners, General Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Electricians, and Construction Managers by performing the following duties:

Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services

Establish and meet sales targets and metrics

Travel throughout NJ (and neighboring areas as business opportunities arise) to call on regular and prospective clients to solicit product sales

Develop sales opportunities by self-generating leads thru cold calling, visiting active constructions sites, monitoring public and private bid websites, etc.

Maintain all lead  and follow up activity in a database on a timely basis

Demonstrate products using brochures, professional presentations (lunch and learns, webinars) and site tours emphasizing sale-able features of the product and Company

Prepare professional sales proposals

Negotiate final scope of work with owners or their representatives

Attend trade shows

Become active member in local and regional trade associations (including chamber of commerce,  NJBA, ACCNJ, AIA-NJ, NJECA)

Seek out and penetrate new markets for the company’s products. Research and propose new potential products, etc.

Assist with establishing pricing, schedule, scope-of work negotiations and all other activities required to obtain new business

Stay current on emerging precast trends and products

Assist in investigating and resolving customer matters as needed

Other duties may be assigned as business needs arise

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent customer service skills

Goal oriented, self-starter who requires minimum supervision

Minimum 5 years of proven ability to penetrate gatekeepers and identify key decision makers

Construction / pre-stressed / precast concrete  industry experience preferred

Professional demeanor

Strong organization skills. Ability to multitask.

Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.

Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in relevant field of study
