An Application Engineer will work to assist in HVAC/R technical support for contractors, wholesalers, and end users, primarily in aftermarket and competitive replacements.

representatives to assist in HVAC/R technical support for contractors, wholesalers, and end users,
primarily in aftermarket and competitive replacements.

Years of experience:
Min of 5 years in commercial or industrial HVAC/R
4 year degree
2 year degree is also possible but requires extra experience.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows
Experience with Microsoft Excel strongly required
Microsoft PowerPoint and Word proficiency
Ability to absorb technical concepts and relate them to non-technical individuals
Guaranteed 5 to 25%
This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the proper specification of products and quotes to
customers. This requires a high level of interaction between customers, sales managers, application
engineers and customer service representatives. Product knowledge is essential in the proper
configuration of products including the specifying of accessories and/or spare parts.
Customer interaction is crucial. This requires extraordinary communication skills to be able to assist a
wide variety of skill levels and personalities. Not only is providing the proper model and part numbers
important, but also being able to find and disseminate the correct literature, data and specifications a
requirement of this position.
This job can involve a high degree of technical knowledge related to the basic function of compressors,
pressure vessels and refrigeration systems. An understanding of the purpose and functionality of every
product part and accessory is the ultimate goal for this position.
Other miscellaneous projects are also possible including, but not limited to: creation of literature and
documentation, creation of metrics and data analysis, and assisting in process improvements.
Specific Desired Skills and Attributes:
Field troubleshooting of supermarket refrigeration systems
Experience with Variable Frequency Drives
Experience with control systems, wiring diagrams
